Natalie Plunkett

An authentic, passionate, gregarious and driven professional – Natalie began her journey in the arts at an early age. After 12 years of training in Speech and Drama, Natalie completed with Honours and top 5% in the state for Speech and Drama with the Australian Music Examination Board.

Natalie studied performing arts and Media at Curtin University, completing a Bachelor of Arts in 1999 and then a Post Graduate Degree in Journalism at Murdoch University. In the 80’s and 90s Natalie worked as a Radio Broadcaster for 96fm Stereo. During that time Natalie took a break and went to New York and took acting classes with the Herbert Berghof Studio, West Village in Manhattan.

For the last decade Natalie has been focused on rescuing dogs and founded in 2008, “Desperate For Love Dog Pound Rescue’. It is a foster based rescue and saves hundreds of dogs every year from pounds, who are abandoned, abused and neglected. Natalie has done numerous interviews with radio, newspaper and television promoting the plight of dogs in Western Australia. DFL rescue is now a registered charity however, Natalie resigned April 2016, to pursue her love of acting/comedy and focus on diverse character roles.

Over the years, she has been involved with local theatre and has recently trained with the Perth Film School the advanced Screen acting course, Master class course with Mahesh Jadu and Greg Apps Audition Technique workshop.
