Hard working, ambitious and passionate, Madi Jewell has always had a strong love for the performing arts since a young age. Born and raised in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Madi discovered a love of performing since appearing in her primary school production and being involved in the school band as a lead singer. She continued developing her skills and passion throughout her high school productions, multiple student media films and her local theatre musicals.
Madi’s training includes musical theatre lessons at the Manhattan School of Music and completion of VCE Units 1 & 2 and VCE Units 3 & 4 in music performance, drama and dance. She has also continued to have singing lessons at the Bianca Fenn School of Music since 2015 which has helped her gain confidence and develop more skills and range.
After leaving High School, Madi became more involved in her local theatre group and has had opportunities to play multiple lead roles in musicals such as Grease and Rock of Ages. These roles were able to show off her skills and helped her learn new ones. She has also had opportunities to be part of the behind the scenes side of the theatre company, being assistant choreographer and being part of the backstage crew. Madi is determined to continue being involved in the performing arts, she is always wanting to improve and is excited about the opportunities the future has in store.
